340 Carter AVS BAse Gasket - 07/27/18 11:37 AM
Looking for pictures or confirmation on what base gasket was used with an AVS on a 340 between 1968 and 1970. I have what I am going to call an untouched 68 340 with nothing more than a thin gasket, but I have read others have seen thicker gaskets .
TIA

Edelbrock makes a heat insulation gasket that is thick and works well. I am pretty sure originally the 340 cars had a thick carb to intake gasket.

1/4" thick with a plastic insert for the bolts.
Choke linkage adjustment requires it.
