engine paint - 02/19/18 11:23 PM
So I painted my 408 last time with totally auto engine orange paint. Not to happy with it as it has flaked off in big chunks, and will wrinkle up when I spray the engine down with brake cleaner after changing the oil back by the oil filter area.
Is there a better paint, or a paint code for the real engine paint so I can just buy a quart and shoot it with my detail gun?

I used bill hirsch
http://www.hirschauto.com never had any peeling issues I did thin it a little and it gave it a flat almost coral color so don’t thin it.

I expect it to have instructions on reducer/hardner to use?

Been using por 15 engine paint, add hardener and holds up great. Looks good and color matches nice too.

I noticed he offers paint by spray or quart, any difference in quality, color or longevity between the two? Getting ready to paint one torquoise.
