PW wiring protection?

Have a 68 Coronet with power windows. The wiring that runs between the frame and door grommets near the door hinges, the electrical tape (I think) that covered the wiring harness is long gone. Has anyone used a better tape or product to cover the wires?

I was planning on using the 3M Temflex 1755 friction tape. It was recommended as a good replacement for the factory cloth wire wrap. Datasheet (.pdf)

The factory wrapped harnesses with a tape that had no adhesive. Electrical tape leaves behind gunk when the vinyl unravels. Your wires are pretty clean so I do not think electrical tape was used, they would have old black goo on them.

Cloth style electrical tape, not the plastic stuff

I have have both tapes, the friction tape looks correct.
