IIRC it does, mounted to the left of the ash tray, generally where you find the reverse light indicator on a 4spd equipped A body, IIRC the 71 A body rear speaker/fader switch when ordered was a dealer only install

good call, thanks! up

for 1971 Duster/Valiant it looks like no AM/FM either, but
the AM radio with stereo cassette was available

did they actually put STEREO speakers in an A-body??

the '71 DART/DEMON salesman "pocket price guides" show

R11 - AM radio $61.10
R26 - AM radio w/stereo cassette (incl. rear speaker) N/A console $201.60

does the AM w/cassette have a fader, or is it on the (floor mounted) cassette unit?

I'd think either Scott Smith or Greg Ward might have that answer?

if its 4 speed it goes between the steering column cover edge and the reverse light
