I don't have a car handy for comparison, but I'm under the impression that the factory holes are punched, or threaded using a doubler or insert plate. I do recall more holes than items on a stock dash, which were maybe used for fixtures. My guess is that if the holes have burrs from a drill, they're probably from installing aftermarket gauges, tape decks or CB units.

Dan I thought for sure I had my dash photos on this computer but I was wrong. I will get them and post mine tomorrow to compare with the others posted. I will compare them also to my dad's RR to make sure. Sorry.

Here is the best example of an original one I have. It appears to have a extra hole or so. Driver side outside edge.

Passenger side of dash. Not sure of the 4 holes in the center if they are supposed to be there or not. My guess is not.

Don't forget the 4-speed reverse indicator light and the rear speaker fader (but the second is a large hole).

the 4-speed "REVERSE" light hole is there
no rear seat speaker
it looks like there was a "pilot" hole for locating the "AIR GRABBER" cable, but was missed to the right by an inch
