Torque box question, one brand better then the other??? - 01/06/17 03:07 AM

I'm looking to stiffen up the chassis on my '72 Challenger. I already have a set of US Car tool frame connectors and was just wondering after searching the web is one brand of torque boxes better then the other? I saw some by Resto Rick, Us Car tool and Auto Rust Technicians. Thanks for any help! up

Restoricks are the best if original appearances are critical

3rd that. Ricks are the most correct. I've used US Tool and took a bit to make them fit and are not like the factory ones.

Car will be getting a 440 stroker, Caltracs and a set of Weld Draglites so original appearance is out the window. Lol I do however want something that will go in without too much grinding and cutting. Sounds like Resto Rick will be getting a call. Thanks for the info guys! up

The US Car Tool one's are decent. They don't need cutting and grinding but do need some tweeking. No big deal. And would likely vary from car to car due to original manufacturing tolerances and stresses over the years anyway.

The Car Tool ones I used on my 71 Dart needed a bunch of cutting and grinding to fit.
The E body ones not so much. Haven't used their B body ones.

Nothing better than Resto Ricks. I have installed many.

You have to be creative to get the US Car Tool "boxes" to fit. What were they thinking?

The Auto Rust Technician ones are a little thinner than other's I've seen.
