Was the super stock aluminum case specific to 1965 only, or did they use it in any other year super stock car?

Interesting.... I "thought" only the feather-Duster and Dart Light got the aluminum trans housings????

The S/S case and "feather duster" cases aren't one and the same. The S/S case is gusseted at the front bolts (visible in the photos) and the countershaft is press-fit, not floating as in the feather duster case.

The S/S case was also available through Direct Connection for many years - with a "P" part number.
