I think I have a couple at home. I'll post them for you on Wednesday assuming I can find where I put them.

Guys, this is great stuff!
Still looking for a 1184 (3461184), which is for 71 manual drum.
Anybody out there?
Thanks,

Here ya go Bill. I have an NOS 3461184 M/C I bought many years ago for my 71 Challenger.
I just pulled it out of the box and took this pic ...

Very interesting.
The 3461184 master cylinder is for manual drum only, yet your tag is stamped PWR for power. That does not add up. Perhaps later NOS pieces like yours (with the wider reservoir and unequal fluid cavities than the assembly line units)were calibrated to use with both manual and power?
Here are the applications:
3461176 71 B/E-Body Power Disc
3461178 71 A-Body Power Disc
3461182 71 B/E-Body Power Drum
3461184 71 B/E/A-Body Manual Drum
Does anyone have a 1184 tag that does NOT have PWR stamped on the end? This would probably be found on the assembly line and early NOS replacement units with the narrow reservoir that have both fluid cavities the same size.
Thanks,

I have a 71 Challenger R/T with 11 inch HD manual drums. The tag is marked 1183 with a large 31 on the end. The 31 matches my broadcast sheet. My car has a SPD of 520 (if it matters). Dual reservoir of equal sizes, bail wire cover retainer, with exits towards the drivers side inner fender.
I would love to get a repro of this tag.

Yes, it can be done for you in the near future, once I see all available original samples.

3461184 71 B/E/A-Body Manual Drum
This is the parts book replacement cylinder for these applications. I would assume that the part/assembly supplied to the production line would have included master, lid, bail, pushrod, plastic gasket with rubber boot ready to be installed. Because the B/E use one pushrod and the A-body another I would suspect these were 2 different assemblies.
The number on the second line of these tags would appear to be a 10,000 day calendar date. Assuming this, the one Mark posted for his 71 challenger would look to be a date that falls in for the 71 model year. The letters A, B, C could mean a number of things, shift, batch of the day, which line, etc.

All very good info, and much appreciated.
I will investigate the 10,000 day calendar scenario. Very intriguing.
If there are any other samples out there, please do not hesitate to post them here.
Thanks,

Re: 71 Master Cylinder Tag Samples - 06/11/16 02:32 AM
Here's a 1176 tag believed to be the original tag off a December 1971 St. Louis built '72 Road Runner/GTX.
If the four digit code at the bottom is a date code it translates to November 17, 1971 which would've been perfect for the car. Odd that the PWR is stamped 180° compared to the above samples.
