Matching the Original paint - 03/21/16 04:23 PM
I have another side scoop in better shape than the existing one, but the car is burnt orange and the scoop is white.
Which brand/manufacturer/type/configuration of paint should I use?
Lacquer, enamel, base coat clear coat?
Thanks

A single stage Acrylic Enamel, I'd suggest Dupont Centari Enamel, but regardless of your paint MFG choice you'll need to have it matched/tinted for a spray out to compensate/adjust for age/fade UV degradation, your primer base shade will also be a key factor in matching the color as well

Centari isn't available around here any more. I've used the lower line Nason acrylic enamel with pretty good results. I've matched the original paint on a couple of old Mopars with satisfactory results.

Centari is a single stage acrylic enamel. Where in NY are you? I may be able to help you out.
