B body AM Radio question - 12/18/15 07:00 AM

Is the light bulb in a B-body AM Radio easy to replace?
Does a socket pull out easily or do you have to disassemble the radio to get to it? Does anyone know?

should be simple - follow the orange wire, usually to a little door - pictured is a '76 a-body AM/FM but they are all similar.

Of course it depends on the radio, but MOST B bodies up thru 1970 , and A bodies thru 1976 are like the one pictured above . Takes only a few seconds to replace . However, 71-74 B body and E and C bodies are diffrent. E body AMs load through a socket on the side of the radio,
and 71-4 B body stereo and E body AM FM stereos have to have the dial lense removed first .
