Help removing rocker clips

How do you remove (without damaging) the rocker moulding clips from a 68 Coronet?? Not sure if the center plastic 'rivet' needs to be drilled out? Any advice sure would be appreciated!

I have drilled the center pin with small drill bit. Screw in small screw. Grab screw head with vice-grip and pull center pin out.
