If you could make 1 purchase 4 your A12 driver, what ?

Not so hypothetical question. If I could make one upgrade to my A12, should I buy:

1. Original Hood in Mint condition
2. Complete original carbs and intake needing rebuilding
3. Mint original 054 radiator
4. Repop H-Wheels

Just curious what other A12 owners think is the "must have" part when investing some cash.

Hood

Hood and H Wheels as that will always be seen

Track fee, high test, clutches & rear tires as needed.

Wheels for sure.

I would be happy with just having an A12 car. Might have to liquidate to get one.

Wheels....but some may say I am biased.

Hood or induction. Wheels are repop and radiator is easy to find anytime.

So,I checked and a set of 5 repop H wheels are $2500 delivered. Youch!
I found a original induction system on ebay needing a complete rebuild for $2900, Double Youch!! Is that the going rate for a period correct intake and set of carbs?
It appears I have the original hood after reading other posts here. Hard to believe that the aftermarket hoods actually look better underneath than the factory ones.

I don't see the original carbs and intake being a $2900.00 part needing rebuilt and restored.
I sold a set of original A12 dated auto carbs and original intake for $1500.00 a few years back. I might could see 2K on a 4 speed set up with intake , but that's about it. Air cleaner has always been the big ticket item but it is repopped as well but its expensive as well.

Well, I actually bought two A12s from the same owner. A B5 Runner w/ auto and a F6 Bee with a stick.
The Runner has all its original equipment except missing the H wheels. The Bee has a later six pack set up, wrong radiator and missing the H wheels.
Thus my questions concerning "must have" parts.
I haven't sent pictures to a web site yet since I just bought the cars this past weekend, so I cant add them to this post unless Im missing something.
Moparts.com needs to get with the 21st Century and add an attachment button. Just sayin.

That question all depends on what your finances are ! lol. Unlimited money.... I'd go for a spare hood.

Is the B5 Runner you bought have a white bench seat from around Buffalo NY?

Oh and I would go with the hood. Carbs and intake would be a close second if they were dated correctly and first if they still had all the original accessories with them.

It is very easy to post here. You don't need a hosting site.

I would NOT buy the Intake and carbs in need of a rebuild! I like the hood or H wheels, but I think if you are patiant you can find original H wheels for the 2,500 mentioned above.

I'm picking up the Green Bee this Sunday, and money is always an issue. My original intention was to just buy the B5 A12 Roadrunner, but he offered the F6 A12 Bee as a package deal. A 4-speed with build sheet. He also had a Mr. Norm's Six Pack Challenger that he was restoring. Here is two pictures of the Bee:

Astonishing to say the least. Your A12 is amazing.

That green bee is awesome. I am SO envious! I am loving green cars more and more in my old age and that one in particular is everything I like.

As someone who is building up a 440 6bbl roadrunner, (not a real A12 and not a clone) I would agree that the intake/hood would be a great purchase. I have a repop hood and getting the air cleaner to seal is harder than I thought it would be.

Did all A12 Bees come with wheel lip moldings? Mine is coded for them on the build sheet, and the holes are there on the wheel lips so I guess they should be on there. Not sure I can afford your NOS ones though. I know they are making repops now.
