Water Pump Restoration - 09/02/15 02:08 AM
I have the original water pump (big block) for my car that was removed back in the 80's because it was leaking. I would like to put it back on the car, because it is original and the date code is correct.
Does anybody know a source to get these rebuilt/restored?
Thanks

There is a shop here in Sacramento that does it but it's not cheap. I think it was $65 per pump. You also have to ask them to not paint them. They use the old impeller too.

Thanks for the info guys. If I can find that seal, I think I will try and rebuild it myself.

Try Gary, He can either rebuild it for you or sell you a kit.

Is there a source for someone that rebuilds small block water pumps?

Thanks for the info. I am having a hard time finding a kit around here.
I wish that guy would have put the part number of the kit he used on the rebuild he did.

I agree. I wish I knew the part number for that as well. I have our original dated water pump waiting to be rebuilt in my crawl space.
