Would the code for the fog lamps (L34) be on a 70 fender tag for a BS23(Cuda). It would be a late production vehicle.

L34 should be on the tag for a car on or after Jan. model year. Not always on cars before January.

It's the first code on the second line (just below the screw) on my 730 produced car.

It looks good too.
The car was on Ebay in 2004, no photo of the tag with it, but the codes the seller typed match.

I have Data Plates in my files that indicate SPD 504 was the beginning of the L34 code.
So even though the lights were standard on the 'Cuda, they weren't coded on the fender tag till a certain moment during the model year?

Yes Sir.
When the factory offered the L34 Road Lamp option on other models, they started to use the L34 code on the Data Plates.
Now where is that particular document that announces the availability of the Road Lamps......I'll see if I can find it.
