She' naked !

After like a millions years I'm finally getting started( ok back to work ) on her. She's been a torn down shell for well over a year now. She's had a bath and was pulled out of the tub today.

Now all I need is to find someone in the GTA with a full bottom trailer to drag her from Brampton to Welland on the cheap.;) Anyone out there ?

Yeah,

The cowl,tail panel and quarters need a ton of work. Need the drivers side rear foot pan and front floor. I'm not sure if the inner fender can be saved. Plus a bunch on little holes here and there. But on the good side the frame rails,trunk floor and extensions are mint and I have a mint cowl to go on.

Alan,

It nothing special plan jane 73 Chagrer 318,auto on the column, ac , bench seat and the orignal colour was goldish colour. But rest assured that it will not look anything like that when finished.

The last time I talked to Keith he had list of cars waiting to have work done to them. If I need any help on the reassembly you will be the first person on my list.

Alan, I have been to your house before. I believe it was you that found my pasport at Carlisle a few years back.

It was dipped at Technostrip in Brampton www.Technostip.com. I think the going rate is $2200-$2400 canadian. Call to make sure. The company I work for does a ton of bussinss with them so I didn't pay close to that.

Thanks for the info, FYI, you left out the "r" in Technostrip when you listed their web site.

No, I was lucky. I didn't realise I had lost it till I got to the border. I never did get it back.

What has to be done with her now to ensure there isn't any left over acid going to be leaking from the seams and hard to reach places for years to come?

I was called when it was pulled from the acid tank and asked them to leave it in the rinse a little extra. And I went over to supervising the two guys that were rinsing it. Telling them how I wanted done. All in all it was hand rinsed for five and a half hours.

Redi-strip in Reading, PA is one place close to MD but I am not sure how good/bad they are or can be to your baby. You do love her don't you. Ofcourse you do. Then ask around for references of their work before you decide. Have heard some negatives of their dip man on the forum. Dipping tooooo long I believe it was.

Once rinsed a rust inhibitor is applied to stop it from flash rusting. I was advised to prime it within a month. But from my own experience I’ve had a pair of stripped fenders sit for 4 years before they started to rust

It should be getting primed with PPG DP90LF epoxy primer this week end. I will post pictures when primed.

Allentown PA 610-437-7878. He did my T/A and I was happy with it. But the wait is forever. He's always backed up and it's first come first serve, regardless of how much extra $$$ you offer him..... I tried.

Yup, She got picked up on Thursday. I'll keep you in mind when she needs to make the trip back to Brampton.
