Flrewall and trunk wire harness retaining strap coating - 03/15/15 02:34 AM

Well, despite my telling the media blaster to be careful not to blast the rubber coating off of the firewall and trunk wire harness retaining straps in my car, they pretty much blasted off all of the coating. What I would like to know is, are there any products available for restoring that coating?

I use body schutz (undercoating). Once it's dry, just prime, paint and away you go.

I have used plasti-dip to coat wiring tabs.

Plasti-dip is the best for reproducing the rubber coating. It will take a few applications to get the material to build thickness, but once done and painted its a perfect match to OEM.
