69 B body bucket seat backs - 03/09/15 12:30 AM
I'm looking to redo the seat backs on my 69 GTX.I ordered new hardboard & material from Legendary.Any tips on doing this.On the old ones the material, bottom L strip & the hooks were all stapled. Is this correct or should the new material be glued to the hardboard. How should the bottom strip & hooks be attached.
Thanks
Sal

Mine have blind rivets holding the hardware.

Anyone know how the material was attached? glued or stapled.

Pretty sure it was both - but SHORT staples - the panels are only 1/8" thick! My seats are stored in my attic so looking isn't an option right now.

Same seats as my '68...mine were stapled AND glued. As mentioned, the board is thin, so the staples have to be real short. I redid mine without using staples again and still are OK after about 3 years.
