Safe method for removing old radiator paint

I had to remove my radiator from the '68 Dodge for leak repair. Now, before I put it back in, I want to remove the old chipping paint and respray it (both tanks and core). I was going to use a brush on paint stripper, wait for the paint to start bubbling and then hose off. My question is: Will the paint stripper harm/cause leaks for my radiator? Is there a better/safer method one person can do around the shop to remove the old paint or is this OK?

I would get someone to vat it. It is the only way to get all the paint off of the core fins.

Take it to a radiator shop!
