Wire Reinforced Burlap - 11/23/14 09:19 PM
Does anyone produce this? Ask Google didn't find anything. Is my only choice to thread the old wire into new burlap?
Any help is appreciated.

Reusing the old listing wires is normal.

What I often do is get an old back seat from a junker and salvage the burlap. Usually a back seat has less wear and it's big enough to provide what you need.

You can buy it all from Legendary.

I bought new burlap then duplicated the pattern using welding wire through the burlap. Works great, a little stiffer that the original wire. Been that way for several years and no issues.

rethreading the wire would be a piece of cake ... fold the burlap into pleats the width of the spacing, stick all the wires through the middle, flatten out the burlap.

New burlap is CHEAP, why reuse 40 year old stuff? I always use new burlap and I found new stainless wire on Amazon sold in 5 ft lengths. Restoring seats and seat tracks is a bit time consuming but you get brand new looking results.
