I have a 74 Dart Sport Hang Ten with the fold down and it has carpet in the trunk, on the floor and sides.

I know the Hang Ten Darts had carpet, like previously mentioned.

However, a buddy just restored his 74 Duster with the fold down rear seat and he had the mat in his, it was an original 360 4 speed car.

Maybe only the hang tens got the carpet?

my pretty basic '76 (only options on the window sticker are the fold down seat, 4 speed OD tranny, and cigarette lighter) has black carpet, a molded black plastic piece on the inside of the tail light panel, and black felt glued to the inside of the 1/4 panels, and some heavy felt pieces that are cut and folded and tacked with spray adhesive over the backs of the wheelwells. the backside of the fold down panel was painted with a wrinkle paint.

All fold down rear seat cars ive seen run hand n hand with the trunk dressup kit....common sense says why have a folddown deal to a unfinished trunk...however I think they are diff tag codes so its probably possible to get one without the other????

Also part of the fold down rear seat I think has some extras over the bare trunk...the trunk dress option just makes it nicer....

I might be wrong though????

My 73 dart had when new and {was redone the same way} loop Carpet on floor and wheel wells as well as the devider has plush, the inside of the quaters has plush glued to it.
the back side of the devider has plush, but the front side is loop so when the devier is folded down it matches the loop on the floor.
Also the back of the rear seat is loop.
I have step by step pics of when i redid it someplace Not only did they have a plastic cover over the rear tail lamps but they had early 73 a soft cover for the jack assy.
later years had a hard cover made of abs plastic.

one last pic with the devider{realy just plywood with a piano hinge} folded down.
Note the matching loop carpet of the front side so it matches the loop on trunk floor when folded down. As stated before the other side is plush carpet

I've parted out several and seen many in junk yards and all had carpet in the trunk but anything is possible. Also all had black carpet in the trunk irregardless of the interior carpet color.

Here's an old ad for 1973 Space Duster. The caption under the bottom "yellow" car address this.

I am seriously considering adding a Space Duster seat to my 71 car. No, never was an option in 71 but it's a simple bolt in deal so easy to reverse and a totally cool and functional option for a Duster/Dart/Demon.

Looks like a bit more than a bolt in deal. The package tray is completely different, there is no X bracing, the fuel filler tube is different...well, that one is a bolt in

They have a package tray but it is smaller and leaves a large open area when the seat is in use

my 74 duster is the same as 340six's except I have the soft bag that the jack slides into.

Mine does look like yours, but I don't consider the arrangement a typical package tray. Usually package trays were level with the top of the seat backs and were hard board with or w/o speaker cuouts.

of course its not a "typical" package tray, 2/3 of it is missing! but hey, who actually puts packages on it anyways
