Neutral Safety Switch, 1968 Charger, Manual Trans?? - 10/14/14 01:27 AM
Where is the Neutral Safety Switch on a Manual Transmission, 1968 Charger. Is it down on the clutch pedal like a 1970??? Is it the same as a 1970?? Pictures would help as well.
Thank, Troy

I agree. NSS started in 1970. My 69 does not have one either.

I think - since the beginning of time, a clutch had to be pushed in or its transmission placed in neutral if you didn't want a vehicle or piece of machinery to move when running.

Just another case of Big brother stepping in to protect us from ourselves because some of us would not engage our brain before engaging the starter.

Maybe it had something to do with the relocation of the ignition switch coupled with the reverse lockout?
