Diamond Back Radial Redlines feedback

Diamond Back Radial Redlines feedback - 06/27/14 05:58 AM

I tried this question in the Q & A section and didn't get a response, so I will try it here. I was thinking of running these on a Resto-mod 1969 Charger
I'm looking for any feedback on the Diamond Back Radial Redlines particularly the Nitto 555.
How does the redline look ? Does it look added on ?
How about long term durability ?
Has anyone seen these close up and in person ?
Any feedback good or bad would be helpful. Thanks

I have a set of their Nitto555 redlines in 275 15 on the rear. I have a set of Coker tire redlines on the front. The quality of the Diamondback redline is every bit as good as the coker tire. Of course the tire itself is produced by Nitto and the quality is good. The "redline" IS molded in and has lasted just as well as the Coker redline.

I will say this. I liked the service, price and overall experience dealing with Diamondback better than Coker. First off, Coker lied about several things. One, they claimed that NOBODY produced a redline larger than 235 15. Second, they told me that the Magnum 500 wheel that I wanted to mount the tires on was produced by them and I would have to "live with" the standard offset of the 8"x15" wheel.

Funny thing, Wheel Vintiqe in Ca. who actually DOES make the wheel, had no problem building them with my offset. And Diamondback would have sold me a 315 x 15 if I could have fit it in the wheel well!

I am very happy with my redlines from Diamondback. And the traction is MUCH improved!

I bought some Diamond back Firestone Firehawks a some years back. 245/60/15 all way around on the Charger in the pic. I like them, customer service was good. The red on the tire is starting to fade a bit, but that could be fixed. I get a lot of compliments on them.

Hemi ragtop, could you possibly post a closeup shot of the Nitto 555 redline ? Don't want the whole tire, just a nice closeup to see how the profile of the molded on redline looks. Thanks

I saw some Diamond Back Redlines at the Carlisle show. All I have to say is the "added" on redline looks great, along with the rest of the sidewall where they remove the factory lettering to make it smooth. Just have to figure out how big a tire I can fit.

Here you go, they have been on the car for 17 months, I don't know how many street miles, 1,500+? I clean them regularly for shows. Just hammered them this afternoon, some spin, then hook and go!
