need help with identification. - 05/27/14 10:02 PM

Can anyone identify what this small panel is and where it goes? Off a 1970 Challenger and was removed during my restoration. Has numbers on it as follows EM F 08 size is 23.75 long X 4" high on its highest point. Its also bevelled on all four sides. Thanks in advance

Since they are attached at the little point, I'm almost positive those are the wiring covers that go along side the interior bottom door sill. They protect the tail light harness run from the carpet.

They are just spot welded on and maybe they broke during teardown. Or they might have been just under the carpet loose if a factory worker left a loose one in there he didn't use/forgot.

Thanks. Makes sense. Anyone know how it attachs and is there more than just the one plate?

Spot welded on.

Should go from kick panel to edge of rear seat or so.

Called "floor wiring covers"
I bought new ones and was able to find the original spot weld locations on my floor boards. Then I lined up the new ones to the original spot welds and tacked them in.

Installed (but flipped up instead of flat on the floor):
