Heater Core

So, I disassembled my heater box to clean it up, paint it, and reseal it. I wanted to replace the 45 year old heater core. Since I am fortunate enough to have an A/C car, the heater core is unavailable at any part store. Year One and Classic have it starting at $235. Anyone know if anyone has a better price or if this is something that can be refurbed at a radiator shop?
