Harms/Scott, thanks a lot: Hemi carbs. - 01/14/14 02:09 AM

Hey gang..

Just wanted to pass along some of the items I got from Scott at Harms Auto... I can't wait to fire up this puppy when I put her in the Daytona. The carbs look great and I really dig the carb tags I got today from him...

Thanks Scott..

PS: Scott, notice something else?

I know I'm not Scott, but you're missing the nuts and have different sparkplug tubes.

There are a lot of things missing... I'm working on getting the complete motor as close to OEM as possible, just haven't gotten there yet. The spark plug tubes is only one of the many things I need to get. The post was to reflect the carbs and tags from Scott...... He's done great work. He restored the 4618S carb for my Charger 500 and it came out great. If it weren't for the fact I'm shoving the hemi in the car, I'd have him do the 4618SA I have for the Daytona......

When you mount the carbs slide them back to hit the studs on both that way if you take them off you know the placement they were in when you removed them. After mounting open both carbs, check for FREE movement of the throttle plates. Also remember to paint those bolt heads

Good tip.
Regarding the intake bolts, I am waiting on getting the proper water pump housing. Once I find one, I will button everything up, to include attachment of the negative battery and body ground cables, then paint. As Scott has pointed out, I also need to get the proper valve cover hardware... Things are just mocked up now to verify fit.
