1971 Challenger Seat Belts - 11/28/13 07:42 PM
I need a set of 71 Challenger convertible seat belts. Are they different than a coup? What are the differences and what will interchange?

My 71 convertible front seat belts are different than my son's 71 hardtop seat belts in that the male part of the lap belt has a peg or post on it for the shoulder harness to attach to it. As you know, your convertible doesn't have the shoulder harness. The lap belt could still be used but wouldn't look right if showing it. The rear seat belts appear to be the same.

You have the wrong belts in your car. They are 1972 or later. check the white labels for a date, it will be in the 1972 production year, or later.

BE&A sells a repro convertible seat belt set. I don't have any firsthand experience with the convertible set, however I got my hard top 71 set there and they were great! Only thing missing is the white tags. And the tags can be obtained from ECS.
