'70 Quarter Window Rear Channel Rubber Inserts? - 10/31/13 05:21 AM

Need some help with this. Bought and just received this from Roseville (Part # AS2001A). It says it's for hardtops and convertibles.

I assumed it was for something else, but now I don't really know where it goes. I have a '70 Challenger convertible. Does it go in the convertible top frame (as a weatherstrip) to seal the rear of the quarter window when it's rolled up? If so, it looks different than what is already there, and it's longer in length (possibly because hardtops required longer). Can anyone help? Thanks.

My car is not a convertible, nor did it have roll up rear windows (deputy model), however I did strip a 70 hardtop of it's rear window hardware to install in my car. Here's a couple pics of the part you mention installed, the brackets were both in my car, even though it did not originally use them. No idea if a convertible has the same brackets. By the way, I need one of these for the driver side, how long are the ones from Roseville?

Thanks for the photos. They were very helpful. I checked my '70 Challenger convertible, and these bracket are not there. I think Roseville is incorrect in their description of the part. I don't believe these were used in convertibles.
