I know there are two different versions: one for a Hemi and one for a 440 Six Pack. The 440 version has a slightly longer mounting bracket. Are they interchangeable?

1968 to 1971 both 440 and hemi take the same seperator 1972 uses the one with the longer bracket. then 1973 uses an even longer bracket
But to answer the question, Yes they will interchange if you have one and not the other

Hopefully you did a search and know there are good and bad separators? Orfice size is important.

That is a good price. I think mine cost around $55?
Not sure I would worry too much about the restriction size, you can install a restriction in the return line if needed.
