I'm restoring a 68 Road Runner grille, and I would like to see examples of originals if anyone has close up photos. Particularly the paint on the center. Thanks!

This is of an original just for the color and texture that I took at the Nat's of an untouch and weathered '68 road runner....I have some showing more of the grille but I have to search some more.

the connecting parts should be satin black between the rectangles so it looks like they are stand alone or not connected.

Does the textured paint look like typical dark textured argent or is it darker? I've seen some that look almost black

Darker to the point that in factory ad's it almost look black. The green road runner grille was done with Totally Auto "dark" argent but it even close to the factory original...it looks more like gun-metal gray. I think trunk splatter paint in a very dark gray/black would look better.
(still not right or even close just a little rub there 
)
