'Cuda tail-panel emblem (72-74) adhesive backed or pins - 11/21/08 07:33 PM

Just trying to figure out whether to close up the 3 holes in my re-pop tail panel that go behind the 'cuda emblem. I think the 'Cuda emblem is adhesive backed but not sure...would appreciate any help!

Although most factory blue prints show pin on styles only a VERY few early cars (such as pilot cars) actually recieved them, 99.9% of the rest came with the adhesive style, some earlier versions had textured argent silver, later ones has matte black around the emblem. Another thing to consider is that back in the 80's when the first big "Muscle Car" craze hit, there was a company selling replicas of the pin on style and some earlier restorations had them installed, so be careful believing what some will claim to be original to the car because that's the story they recieved down the line from prior owners.

This shows what regular production line cars recieved (location varied by year).
