That's good news. That is a part that will sell and it covers four model years. Personally I need two.

Mildon makes a nice 70-71 Hemi pan. We tried to get Milodon to make a early pan but not interested.

Is the same people making these new Hemi early pans and 402 pans as the people that made the big block valve covers?

$250.00 is a lot of money for a peice of metal. But if you need one....

Are they made in the United States of America or not?

Member quicksilver makes them (well, converts them from std big block pans) and the price is around $1,300.

BTW- $250.00 is really cheap, considering the beat up originals were priced $600-up!

Considering the sales potential, I Seriously doubt it.

But I know tooling for the current pans was done with the potential to do others with simple tool changes.
Another pan that was being considered was the B/RB A body pan. No idea of WHEN or IF it will become a reality. Probably going to depend a lot on sales sucess of the current 2 pans.

As far as if it's US made , I don't think so but I could be wrong.

When I was talking to the manufactuer back in the summer. He was trying to have it made in the USA but feared it was going to be very costs prohibitive to do so.

Re: so is anyone going to repro the 66-69 hemi oil pan? - 12/01/12 08:20 PM

IMO, I'd say the MAX WEDGE pan has more potential than the big-block A-body pan (in general the a-body crowd is "cheap" & the #187 c-body pan works). Also, the number of "stock" anal restoration of MAX WEDGE & clone early b-bodies has to outnumber the quantitiy of a-bodies treated to the same.

Even the stock early '62-'65 b-body pan is getting hard to find - easy solution "upgrade" to the MAX WEDGE apan.

What I should have said was $250.00 is more than the 70-71' style pans. [my initial reaction]

I have the wrong pan [70/71' style] on my car and would like to put a "correct " pan on it if available.

I don't have a problem with the 250 price either. Certainly would prefer a product made here at home though

Dan,
I agree with ya 100%
But it's all moot point as I am not the manufacturer and can offer my opinions only .

He is aware of the C body pan fits A body cars. The tool was made to be able to make changes without all new tooling to do a pan from scratch.

IMO I think the 402 pan has run it's course and I have my doubts it will be a great seller , But and again I say - only time will tell.
