71 and up B body decklids are unsupported and oil can when working with them. The decklids on these cars sometimes don't look quite right. The Plymouths are worse than the Dodges. Any of you body guys have the secret?

The biggest trick is to use more aggressive paper & no pressure... Let the paper do the cutting.. After you've cut it flat use progressively finer paper changing the direction your sanding so the finer paper cuts the previous grit scratches out... Trying to get a flexy panel truly flat with finer paper is virtually impossible because using pressure flexes the sheet metal...

I agree with Randy, let the paper do the work, just drag the block,do not press on it.
