69 HEMI water pump housing: MP alum looks the same??

Martin, The current MP aluminium housing has both locations, I had an A990 housing it only had the mounting boss up high.

I have modified the current to look closer to the 69 housing , removed the extra mount boss, ground on the part number, there is a pentastar also in the thermo neck that needs to be removed. I'm going to epoxy putty the spots under the thermo bolts to look like the stock 69 iron housing ...

Anyways , the MP alum pump LOOKS SIMILAR but it has both alternater mounting points , and the thermo neck is not the same and the part number is a Pnumber , all these things can be addressed .

I know about where to got most parts, but I havent bought all of them before or have seen them in person at the shows because I dont live in the USA, sometimes there are several sources for the parts, sometimes there are better repros than others, yes, I get the magazines too, but it cant hurt to ask. I have gotten several tips and pointers I ignored by asking this questions.

I dont get to go to the shows every year and see the parts in person either....

I havent restored rare cars before as well, so I didnt pay much attention to these small details. Now Im restoring some HEMI and other rare cars and Im starting to pay attention on the small details regarding part "correctness" not quality of work.

Yes, I have done repro parts, I just made sure they looked the same as the original samples I got, that doesnt mean I will know everything about every single part that goes on a mopar.

Unfortunately I am not blessed to know it all!
