Pics and schematic questions for '69 B-body bulkhead - 11/21/11 12:44 AM

Could somebody please post pics of the factory correct engine side bulkhead connectors for a '69 Roadrunner 383 auto. I would just use the wiring diagram to figure it out but I don't understand how they reference it. Is the top bulkhead connector on the wiring diagram supposed to be the top connector on the bulkhead? I haven't been able to find any pics to confirm this but have found one that contradicts my thinking.

The way it shows on the wire diagram is the top connector is contains the wires for the headlights, turn signals, low brake warning light, and the yellow wire to the starter relay. The middle connector has the dark blue fusible link to the starter relay, gray wire to oil pressure sensor, etc... and the bottom connector has the windshield wiper motor and backup light switch wires. Am I reading that right?

Yes it is difficult plus a mirror image 'cause sometimes you dont know which side you are on. I keep checking it several times and check nearby colors to help me. EDIT www.mymopar.com has wiring diagrams

I have the diagrams from mymopar and from the FSM. I also drew out the bulkhead connectors by color wire but I don't know if the schematics are drawn as you look at them from the front of the car or what.

Yes you're reading it correctly.....not that this has anything to do with the bulkhead but it may be of a little help. This is the plug that goes on the back of the headlight switch on the back side of the dash, see how the connections are at the same angle and you can match the colors. If you go to the top of the diagram you can see the two connections and see where 1 and 1 and 4 and 4 are and if you go to the bulkhead connections you will see the letters of the junction are on the plugs too.

Thanks A12. So the diagram is written as you would be looking at the connectors from the back. I didn't realize the letters were on the back of the dash side bulkhead connector so at least with that I can match up everything using that info and the diagram. I'll have to check my dash side bulkhead connector and make sure the wires are in the right spots.
