Pushrods for a 440 with a solid cam... - 09/25/11 12:18 AM

I'm in the process of changing from a 284/484 hyd to the 284/528 solid cam. I'm using Crane ductile rockers. What is the correct pushrod? Any brand better then others?
Thanks

Chrysler used 9.20" cup and ball from the factory. But, I would measure them with an adjustable pushrod so that you can get the rocker geometry correct as well as account for any machine work, head gasket difference, or rocker difference from the adjustable.

Ran the 528 and now 557 with the Crane/MP rockers with the Crane pushrods since '04...I check em when I bring the car out and don't have to touch em all summer...

Ive run Crane 3/8 alloys for probally 30 years in my 440.Used to run the same with my HYD cams.I believe they are about 130 a set.Even with my aluminum heads they fit and dont rub but you still have to check.I have about 2 threads showing on the adjusters.Cam is a comp solid .588 lift.Rocky

The MP ones should work. No need for something crazy with that cam. IIRC roller rockers need +.250 length.
