Brake drum help

I'm helping a friend, he has a 65 Barracuda. he needs a frt brake drum. its a 9" drum. the casting # on it is L-36998-R. its a finned drum. 5 on 4" bolt pattern. its not a stock drum for that car. the rearend is out of a 73 Dart Sport. can anyone help identify that drum so we can get a replacement.

What makes you think that drum isn't stock for the car?
Finned 9" drums were standard on some models.

the drum doesn't look like the drums I'm familiar with from 1965. do you have a part # for the drum you mentioned?

You said frt but mentioned rear & the pic is of a rear drum so I'm assuming rear is what we're dealing with. It might be a generic pic. I'd think any SBP (4") 9" rear drum will work good and you can mix/match finned/non finned w no problems. Finned might wick away heat slightly faster & probably be a bit heavier but you wont notice any difference
