STEERING BOX ISSUES 69 CHARGER - 08/12/11 10:02 PM

I recently puchased a remanufactured steering pump for my 69 Charger. There is an issue with turning. When going left the wheel turns fine, when going right there feels like some resistance. I asked the guy who's installling it if it is centered, he says yes. He suggested it might be cause its not aligned yet? Any help would be appreciated.

to elim (or confirm) alignment I'd jack up the Kmember w your heaviest hyd floor jack to get the wheels off the ground/start it/turn R & L. Holler back. Was the centering gismo on top of the steering gear disturbed in any way during this changeout?

Power steering? If so then the pump line mount needs to be centered, loosen it a touch and tap it to recenter it.
