WD 40, white lithium, silicon anything that dosnt eat rubber...

I used silicone plumbers grease - recommended by my tank supplier. Its available at hardware and home improvement stores.

Armor all I use it when I install anything rubber to metal Radiator hoses, fuel lines, Grommets, whatever. Makes rubber parts slide on easy then it dries like glue after a couple hours and no leaks. If you ever had to fight with a " A-N " fitting shoot a little armor all on both pieces and it makes putting them together pretty simple...... It's the only thing armor all is good for ....
