Axle question

Without the center section installed, just the axles, what should the distance between axles be? The rear that I had shortened for my Roadrunner just ripped about 3/16" of the slines off of one axle. I think he had the axles made too short!

i think its about 1 5/8 inch. have to check the one i have out

Stock end gap is 1.5"

If you remove the differential thrust buttons, you can run as little as 1.3" gap with a clutch sure-grip.
