I have a buddy that want to sell me a 77 doba with a running 400-4bbl with buckets and console with a tilt column. Disk brakes, rear sway bar..........I guess thats about it for good stuff. How many parts will work on a 72 B-body. Just trying to figure out if its worth it.

The engine would make a great core for a 451/496/512 stroker. The transmission would be a good core also. I believe the spindles/front brakes would swap although some would be concerned about the taller spindles vs original.
If you want AC and a high output alternator the 100 A "big case" alternator setup it probably has works great... just a bit heavy. If you aren't using AC there are lighter options.
I used the block from a '78 Cordoba for a 496 stroker in a Challenger. I also used the big alternator - after I found the small case wasn't enough for my application.

Don't toss some stuff because it won't fit a 72.
I stash 360/4 parts these days.

I know the ash tray is the same, even same part#.
Glove box liner I think is the same, these are some of the parts i used in my '71 Charger.

Its a running driving car that needs some attention but could be driven as is. He wants to trade me a 454 thats been sitting on a shelf in my shop for it. I probably should........its just that the motor takes up alot less room than ANOTHER car.
I thought the bucket seats were the same but Im not sure. My 72 car was missing the correct seats.
Would the disk brakes work on my 1967 Sport Fury? Or, My 68 Charger? Everything else I have already has disks.
How about the rear sway bar?
I know it has the fancy chrome road wheels for that era car and there complete and shine really nice yet.........Thats a bonus!

false!
inner fenders are totally diff, radiator core support, frame rails are diff too. NOTHING of the front clip unibody will interchange correctly, K member and suspension won't interchange.
Actually even the firewall COULD fit, the 77 bulkhead opening is diff.
between 72 and 73 Chargers, the floor pans fit up to trunk, dutchman panel, roof, glasses, cowl, Hoods, trunk lid ALTHOUGH cilinder will need to keep matching the correct lid year because that changed too between 72 and 73. Rear valance will fit BUT bumper guards cut outs changes. Front valance fits but you can tell diff on inner areas and brackets to frame rails. Fenders fits BUT inside you can tell areas won't match, ( will find BIG diff unmatched areas with radiator core support ) and won't be able to fit correct wheel op molds.
Wiring will be a perfect match between a 72 and a 73 with just some wires turned around at bulkhead easy to match, but thing are diff with 74s and EVEN MORE DIFF with laters.
Doors won't, quarters won't, quarter glass won't...
Dash frame will interchange as complete assembly with a 77 BUT dunno if clusters can be interchanged, I don't think so. Glove box and ashtray parts will.

The brakes will work and they whould have the 11.75" rotors. Thw spindles are the taller ones but will work fine. PM me if you don't want them...

which kind ? the full glass kind or the one mounted on pot metal frame ?
Not saying won't fit, since bolting locations are the same BUT if you see a 73/74 glass they are bigger. 71/72s are a little bit smaller so adjusting on C area could be some "tight" into the opening area once aligned with doors. Also teh vertical seal and molding is shorter on 71/72s than 73/74s

actually roof itself is the same between Plymouth and Dodges on those years ( 71/74 2 doors B bodies ) since the quarter window opening shape is not on roof, its on quarter panel
however the CHARGER glass, its diff between 71/72 and 73/74 ( as stated not saying won't fit somehow )... 71/72 Plymouth, yes is the same than 73/74 Charger, so does the opening shape
