Anyone ever see one? I have been to Carlisle, Nats, Farmington, etc. I have yet to find one. What is the modern equivilant for my 71 383 4 barrel RR Manual Trans? (3 sp)What have you used for a factory type spec modern carb? Thanks, Greg ffgreg32@aol.com

The closest equivalent is 600 Holley vac sec. The original carb was a 585 CFM. The original Holley was notorious leaker, the aftermarket 600 vac sec Holley the only changes I would make would be a purple or heavy yellow spring the jetting pretty much on the money. I would personally run 70s sec , but that requires a metering plate

Is that 4961 a Carter? Where did you get that number from? Please provide details. I always assumed that a Holley 4bbl was the correct one, a 4667 or a 6191.
