71 GTX/Road Runner Jack Question Hollow Tube or Solid ? - 02/28/11 08:55 PM

This may have been answered before but I coudn't find it. Putting together a jack for a 71 GTX and want to know if only a tube style is correct or did some come with the solid post style. I have seen several original 71 Chargers through the years with the solid style but haven't paid much attention to 71 Plymouths. I know the tube style is most common butis it an absolute?? Thanks

I have had 5 71's and ALL were tube type. Now with 71 Chargers most of the ones I have seen or had were the "Y" type...Just my experience...

From what I had been told, it was a mid year change from the t post style to the tube style. I have no idea when the change occured. I bought a jack out of a 71 roadrunner that had a t post style. also, either style shared the same hook.
