best front suspension rebuild kit for the money? - 02/09/11 02:40 AM

Well I am rebuilding the front end of my 1971 superbee and have been looking at poly front suspension rebuild kits and I cannot decide where to get a kit and who has the best quality for the cash and is great in price. I looked at just suspensions and their base front end kit is priced right along pst high end kit (alot more items with pst but quality?) So who have you used?

I've alwys used PST and have been happy with them. The poly kits tend to be squeeky though.

PST Polygraphite kits, been using them for about 20 years on my own and customers cars, not one issuse ever, or failure,....they can be squeaky if you install them incorrectly, there are certain procedures for proper installation, and a squeak free front end,...I'd never go back to "rubber" componets again, only downside is the ball joint/rod end poly boots (covers), they're too stiff and don't survive the compression over time, I do purchase a rubber boot only kit to replace the poly dust/grease boots

I also have PST on my Dart, was very happy with it, so much so, We are putting a kit in my Son's Volare.

Squeeking can occur even if installed correctly. My dart was nice and quiet for about 7 years. Then, a coupe winters ago, it started squeeking when it is really cold out.
