B-Body Steering Shafts - 11/09/10 03:49 PM

I am redoing a steering column on my 72 Roadrunner. The shafts have been pulled apart and I noticed that plastic has been injected between the shafts. Is it safe to just put the shafts together or is there away the secure the shafts together. Thank You for any help.

They should be put back together.

I used a thin 2 part epoxy after cleaning the area. Seems to be a good fix...

I drilled and tapped mine for 10/32 bolts. I went to Lowes and got some countersunk PLASTIC bolts and bolted them together.

one way to fix it... silicon gun

heating the shaft will help to flow the silicon better to fill all the required areas.
