i just picked up a 69 rr for my project . the car came with a center console which i beleive goes to a 66 charger. it is missing the back half of it does somebody make this part or should i sell it and get what i need . also this console has the factory tach thanks ronny

The 66-67 Charger never had the tach on the console since it was in the dash. Chargers had a clock there (or perhaps the vacuum gauge). Other b-bodies had a piece that attached to the back of the console and used the tach (which is fairly valuable if it works).

i seen this console on e bay they said it came off a 66 whatyears would have used this . does anybody know how to wire this tach .

If it is a 66 tach it needs a separate sending unit.

Yep, three wires is a 66 and needs the sending unit, BUT check with http://rt-eng.com/mediawiki/index.php/Main_Page (Real Time Engineering) and see if their replacement tach board will work with the 66 dial. If it will your problem is solved.

If you post a picture, it may help in figureing out what its from. Just a thought.

The back end of some of those older consoles had a cigarette lighter and/or a floor light. When you open the car doors the front console lights and that back light would illuminate the floor areas.

ill try to post pics this weekend its a mopar tach the top plate holes were made for it. isaw one on e bay just like it.ill get the part numbers on the plate to i dont beleive the car came with a console as i see no evidence of bracketry i beleive it was a column shift. car

im having a hard time posting pics . the tach is a 4 wire not a 3 wire
