Replacement Wood pistol grip handles?

Replacement Wood pistol grip handles? - 09/07/10 11:34 PM

I recently installed a keisler tk0 600 into my 1970 B body the pistol grip shifter supplied looks nice but has plastic in stead of wood for grips. It feels weak to me my question is can you order a set of repalcemnet gripps in wood and keep the bezel that keisler supplies? If so i feel this shifter would look and feel more authentic and sturdy. Thanks in advance.

This is my Pistol Grip. I made it from a piece of Zebra wood I got at speciality shop, and with a dremel tool, patience, and a long weekend.

Yeah, that's nice but I'm too lazy to try and doubt I'd have the patience to do it that well...... part of the reason I didn't try. Gunslinger makes replacement grips that fit the original pistol grip in various woods, that's what I have - if I ever get the car back together enough to install them. Since most of the replacement handles are closely modeled after the originals, they'd likely cross over well. www.gunslingershifters.com

Keisler or Factory, the "original" grips were/are plastic,....although if "real" wood in your hand is what you want,...Gunslinger Prouducts has some very nice wood grips

Cuda Jon that shifter looks great unforunately I'm not as crafty as you! As for gunslingers if I knew they could make me one I'd gladly pay for it! Bowser from what I am reading on the site the person who was doing the carving work has left and now they are not producing the grips except in plastic! Does anyone know how close the reproduction grips and the Keisler handles are? I really want something with more of a solid feel but I love the look of my tko and pistol grip!
