wheel adapters - 08/26/10 09:15 PM

Does anybody know where I can get a set of wheel adapters? I bought a set of rallye wheels that came off a 70 dart, and I assumed they were SBP, but they're not, and I don't want to swap over to discs, I just wanna bolt these on and go.

Just Google wheel adapters and you will find a ton of them.

I've heard and seen more tales of woe with wheel adapters than I care to recount, either swap over to the larger bolt pattern, or have a machine shop redrill your hubs and axles drums( more expensive), or spring for the correct SBP wheels

I have a nice set of Vintage Mr. Gasket ones drilled 7/16 and have 1/2 inch studs..PM if interested...

Some I have heard where they failed were 7/16 drilled and had 7/16 studs for the big bolt wheels which are 1/2 studs.....

I'd go with some good billet aluminum or steel adaptors that you can find on the web for around $75-$125.

Why not just find a set of small bolt pattern wheels ? did the seller try to pass them off as small bolt pattern or did you just assume they were ?

The craigslist ad said they were off a 1970 Dart, so I assumed they were SBP. IMO, they are hard to tell with the sombreros. But nobody's fault, but my own.
