Would these symptoms cause issues?

My coil reads 4.29K ohms resistance through the secondary and .1 ohms through the primary. MSD recommends 4.4K ohms and .335 ohms.

The car backfires through the exhaust when it is under load and warm.

Its a MSD Blaster SS. Its probably 8-10 yrs old. I'm also running a MSD Digital 6 plus box with a MP Distributer.

We've never got this motor to run right. It'll pull real strong for a bit then start acting up. Sometimes it'll be good for a day or two sometimes it'll be good for minutes.
