Exhaust Leak Question - 06/29/10 01:04 PM

Hey All...I received some great advice on replacing my Steering Gear Box. The job is complete. It was fun, but now I know a few short cuts for the next time..LOL. Anyway, I did pull the exhaust manifold for easier access and after installing I've got a minor(anoying)leak at the flange. Is there a solution or recommendation other than the flat gasket that goes between the manifold and the flange? TIA!

use some copper rtv on it and let cure over night

I use it on header/gaskets and mannys with no gaskets..metal to metal

trick is to let cure over night and it wont burn out/off

Thanks for the tips! I'll try the copper first and maybe the Remflex as plan B....
