installing alternator with 2 field posts on 68 charger

Wondering if anyone knows if a 1977 style alternator thst has the square in the back and 2 field tabs can be wired in to be used on a 1968 charger that has 1. Thanks Tim

Yes just ground one of the fields to the back of the alternator.

another good upgrade is a elect solid state voltage regulator to loose the old points style thats on the 68 model

most auto parts stores carry the new electronic type for the 68 now. you have to special order the points type.

I have the blue performance regulator if that matters
